Iowa Soybean Association Launches the Second Season of ’The State of Soy’

Videocast features timely topics and insights impacting soybean profitability

Ankeny, IA – The Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) “The State of Soy” videocast launches its second season today offering timely news, insights and perspectives about soybean production and issues impacting agriculture and Iowa’s rural communities.

Hosted by ISA Public Relations Manager Katie James, the broadcast features a refreshed format, new topics, dynamic guests and farm-focused reporting originating from locations throughout the state.

January’s edition, available for viewing at www.iasoybeans.com, includes:

  • Crop pricing strategies from Paul Mussman of AgWest Commodities
  • Updates on U.S.-China and U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade relations courtesy of ISA Director of Market Development Grant Kimberley
  • Details on a new program to reward farmers for conservation efforts from ISA Director of Conservation Adam Kiel
  • Tips from a northwest Iowa farmer for growing 102-bushel-per-acre soybeans

“Soybean farmers value information that directly relates to their bottom line,” said James. “The State of Soy is dedicated to helping farmers be more informed, competitive, productive and profitable.”

In addition to hard-hitting news, agronomic and conservation issues and market strategies, each monthly episode features lighter fare including stunning photography and videography capturing the beauty and serenity of rural living.

ISA President Tim Bardole’s farm near Rippey serves as the backdrop for the inaugural episode of Season II.  

“It’s important farmers have every opportunity to learn about what’s impacting them and from a variety of sources,” Bardole says. “The State of Soy is a user-friendly way to remain informed while gaining a variety of perspectives with expertise about soybean production.”

In addition to ISA’s website, the video series is available for viewing on ISA’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
