Mitch Larson, farmer from Jefferson, got his start in agriculture working with his father, Lindsey. When a neighboring farmer — and long-time Iowa Soybean Association member — Jim Andrew was looking to retire, he contacted Mitch. Through help from the Beginning Farmer Tax Credit Program through Iowa Finance Authority, Mitch and his father worked out a share-cropping program for Andrew's 1,300 acres.
