StoneX offers commercial grain accounting seminar June 14-15

May 26, 2022

StoneX, a Friend of the Iowa Soybean Farmer industry partner, will host a commercial grain accounting seminar June 14-15 in Sioux Falls.

The program will cover the basics of grain origination and merchandising and introduce attendees to market accounting practices used by the grain industry.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from StoneX professionals and Todd Glynn from Meriwether, Wilson, and Company PLLC, about the intricacies of the grain industry as it relates to accounting practices. They’ll also have the opportunity to earn 12 NASBA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

“Continuing professional education courses can be boring and repetitive,” said Jared Morgan, StoneX vice president global education. “This unique seminar will engage attendees and offer an opportunity to advance their view of the grain industry as it relates to marked-to-market accounting practices.”

CPE credits offered by StoneX are available through a partnership with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). StoneX is a registered sponsor of CPE credits with the NASBA, allowing us to provide CPE credits to anyone with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

The event is being held at the Sheraton Sioux Falls & Convention Center, 1211 North West Ave. in Sioux Falls. Registration is $600. For more information or to register, visit their website or call 312-780-6842.
