Soy shows up at Farm Progress Show
August 27, 2026 | Kriss Nelson
Soy will show up in more places than the soybean field at this year’s Farm Progress Show.
From asphalt underfoot and biodiesel-powered transportation to soy-based products farmers can use in their shops, the Iowa Soybean Association will showcase how investments are creating demand for soybeans.
The Farm Progress Show runs Sept. 1-3 in Boone. Farmers can find ISA in the northeast corner of the Varied Industries Tent at Booth VIT 9200.
“This year is really about showing farmers the many ways their checkoff is working to create demand for soybeans,” says Mickayla Jordan, ISA marketing manager. “We want farmers to stop by, have conversations with our team and see some of those investments in action.”
Stop by ISA
Find ISA in the northeast corner of the Varied Industries Tent at Booth VIT 9200, where the theme is “Growing soybean demand, one innovation at a time.”

Farmers can:
- See how soy is being used in industrial products, asphalt and biodiesel.
- Pick up a bottle of soy-based shop soap and soy-based all-in-one oil.
- Activate or confirm their ISA farmer membership.
- Explore on-farm research and conservation opportunities.
- Connect with fellow farmers and ISA staff about policy priorities.
- Learn how ISA and its partners are building soybean demand domestically and internationally.
- Share their perspectives on conservation adoption and water quality through ISA’s water quality survey.
Hear from the experts
A media area within the booth will feature live interviews and podcast recordings throughout the show. Industry experts will join ISA to discuss national soy policy priorities, biodiesel and expanding the use of soy in industrial products.
ISA will also have some familiar neighbors. The United Soybean Board and Cross Plains Solutions, the developer of soy-based SoyFoam, will exhibit nearby, giving farmers another opportunity to explore innovations that create new uses for soybeans.
Soy across the show
The soybean connection doesn’t stop at the ISA booth.
Look down
Soy-based asphalt can be found throughout the Varied Industries Tent. Soybean checkoff investments helped fund the research behind the technology and paid for the asphalt used at the show.
Catch a ride
ISA is sponsoring golf cart shuttles in the parking lot.
Ride with biodiesel
ISA is also sponsoring trams to the demonstration site with a Powered by Biodiesel message. Four signs along the tram route will highlight biodiesel and its connection to soybean demand.
Come see for yourself
From asphalt and biodiesel to industrial products, soy will be hard to miss at this year’s Farm Progress Show.
ISA encourages farmers to stop by Booth VIT 9200 to see those uses firsthand, connect with staff and fellow farmers and share what matters most on their farms.
