The Iowa Soybean Association is much more than a vessel by which to invest checkoff resources into various projects and priorities that make farmers more profitable and productive. Farmers and participants  learn the inner workings of the association by participating in the ISA Experience Class.

“The ISA Experience Class is an opportunity to peel back the curtains to gain a better understanding of how checkoff resources are allocated while also growing personally and professionally,” says Whitley Frieden, ISA Producer Services coordinator.

Network with other farmers and ag professionals, connect directly with ISA leadership, and learn how checkoff funds are invested to maximize returns to the farmer by joining the ISA Experience Class.

If you are at least 21 years old and have an interest in the soybean industry, this program is a great fit.

The first meeting of the 2022 Experience Class is slated for February 16-17 in Ankeny. Learn about the ISA Research Center for Farming Innovation, tour the ISA water lab and see how ISA staff assists farmers through water sampling services.

Stay for an evening program with the ISA District Advisory Council and the ISA leadership staff where you can have all your questions answered about ISA and the soybean industry. Stay overnight on behalf of ISA and join ISA the next day for the ISA Innovation to Profit Conference.

The class is slated to meet five times in 2022, and a complete listing of the dates and topics to be covered can be found on the ISA website.

“This is the first step into leadership opportunities for those who are interested in being more engaged with ISA,” Frieden says. “I encourage those who are interested to apply for the program to unlock this unique opportunity.”

Applications are open until Feb. 4. Go here to apply.
