Innovation to Profit Series in Fairfield

January 11, 2024 | Kriss Nelson

Locally led, locally relevant and locally driven to deliver. Join the Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) Research Center for Farming Innovation (RCFI) team as they showcase research findings and actionable steps to improve productivity and profitability on the farm.

The Innovation to Profit series of meetings will include a stop in southeast Iowa in Fairfield on Feb. 8.

“Farmers learn best from other farmers, and we want to hear their challenges and successes,” says Ben Porepp, ISA conservation agronomist.

The afternoon session will include Porepp’s presentation on "Navigating the Costs of Conservation."

“We will talk about the application processes, what programs are stackable with other cost-share programs, and how to navigate through them,” Porepp says.

Brandon Iddings, ISA conservation services manager, is also on tap to talk about oxbows and pollinator opportunities available to farmers.

The Innovation to Profit meeting will be held at the Fishback & Stephenson Cider House, 1949 Pleasant Plain Rd., Fairfield, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
