Celebrate Iowa Ag All-Stars at the Iowa State Fair

July 27, 2026 | Lydia Zerby

The wait is getting shorter — only 14 days until one of Iowa’s favorite summer traditions returns. The 2026 Iowa State Fair will be held August 13 – 23.

Iowa FFP’s exhibit will once again be in the southeast atrium of the Varied Industries Building. This year’s exhibit theme is “Iowa Ag All-Stars”. In keeping with the overall Fair theme of celebrating America250, we will be celebrating the people, products and innovations that have shaped Iowa agriculture over the years. People like George Washington Carver and Norman Borlaug, and things like the Maid Rite sandwich and Unleaded 88.

The star of the exhibit will be mystery Ag All-Star trading card packs given out at one of two trivia spin wheels. Fairgoers will go wild for a chance to win these exclusive trading cards, only available at the 2026 Iowa State Fair! Visitors will also be invited to pick up a popular Iowa FFP tote bag (exclusive 2026 design!) and take a photo of themselves as an Ag All-Star in the photo booth.

We began recruiting around 350 Iowa State Fair volunteers this week. These individuals play an important role in creating a welcoming, fun and informative experience for the anticipated 50,000 fairgoers who will visit the exhibit. As a soybean farmer and advocate for agriculture, we’d love to have you volunteer with us!

Thanks in advance for making this our most successful state fair to date and helping the 98 percent of Iowans who don’t farm grow relationships with those who do!
