Learn more about Matt Herman

Matt Herman grew up near La Porte City, Iowa, on a corn, soybean and beef cattle farm. He now serves as Chief Officer of Demand and Advocacy for the Iowa Soybean Association, where he works on soybean demand, biofuels and market opportunities for farmers.

Before joining ISA, Matt worked in Washington, D.C., on environmental and biofuel policy. He also spent several years with Renewable Energy Group in Ames, working in greenhouse gas accounting, regulatory strategy and low-carbon fuel development.

Matt is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he studied policy, history and bioenergy.

Adam Kiel serves as Executive Vice President of AgOutcomes and Co-Managing Director of the Soil and Water Outcomes Fund (SWOF), a nationally recognized ecosystem services program that helps farmers implement conservation practices while creating measurable environmental outcomes for public and private partners. Under his leadership, SWOF has grown to reach more than one million acres each year across 20+ states, becoming one of the largest outcomes-based conservation programs in the United States.

With more than 20 years of experience in conservation, agriculture, and sustainability, Adam has helped build innovative programs that bridge the needs of farmers, agribusinesses, food companies, and environmental organizations. Prior to his current role, he served as Director of Conservation for the Iowa Soybean Association and previously held positions with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service.

Adam grew up on a family farm near Decorah, Iowa, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for agriculture and natural resource stewardship. Today, he and his family continue to own and manage the farm, maintaining a strong focus on conservation.
