Iowa Soybean Association President Kirk Leeds reminds soybean farmers of the importance of international trade and doing their part to raise the highest quality beans possible on their farms.

Trade update from ISA CEO Kirk Leeds

October 28, 2020

ISA CEO Kirk Leeds says we finally have some good news after years of disappointing export and market numbers after recent Chinese purchases of U.S. soy. He tells "The State of Soy" that China remains an important player in the world market, buying 60% of the world's soybeans. But  other countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt will be growing markets for U.S. soybeans. Leeds says the checkoff program plays an important role in building demand overseas and leveraging resources that lead to the development of long term customers for high-quality U.S. soy.
