New to your podcast lineup: Pods of Potential

November 2, 2023 | Kriss Nelson

Where can you learn more about the Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) Research Center for Farming Innovation (RFCI) research opportunities, trial results and more – and on your own schedule?

ISA has started a new podcast called “Pods of Potential”.

Listeners can tune in on their own time to hear stories from fellow farmers using research on their farms.

“A farmer will now be able to hear about what other farmers learned from a research project and their experiences with a new practice right from the cab or their office,” says ISA Director of Research Joe McClure. “It is important to connect with farmers to hear their stories about how they are learning and benefitting from a relationship with the Iowa Soybean Association’s Research Center for Farming Innovation.”

The new monthly podcast will be recorded covering various topics, including cover crops, edge-of-field practices, the Iowa Nitrogen Initiative, and more.

The Pods of Potential podcast host is Andy Petersen, senior farm broadcaster for the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this new collaboration between the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network and Iowa Soybean Association,” says Petersen, who was named Friend of the Iowa Soybean Farmer in 2022. “Pods of Potential will showcase real-time, unbiased research and bottom-line results to help Iowa soybean producers increase their homegrown seed’s max potential in productivity and profitability.”

The Pods of Potential podcast is just one of several ways ISA provides timely information tailored to Iowa soybean farmers.

“It is important for our team to communicate to farmers through multiple methods, including our traditional print and online resources along with our new podcast,” says McClure.
