Aaron Putze, APR, serves as Sr. Director of Information & Education for the Iowa Soybean Association. The team is driven to deliver strategic communications, marketing, industry relations, producer services and consumer engagement activities positively impacting Iowa’s 38,000 soybean farmers.

Raised on a crop and livestock farm near West Bend, Iowa, Aaron earned degrees in communications, public relations and journalism from the University of Northern Iowa. He received his accreditation in public relations (APR) in 2001 courtesy of the Public Relations Society of America. Prior to joining the Iowa Soybean Association in 2010, Aaron served as public relations director for the Iowa Farm Bureau and executive director of the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers.

Aaron is a 26-year veteran of the agricultural communications profession. In 2018, he was named Outstanding Public Relations Professional by the Central Iowa PRSA.

He’s an accomplished public speaker, work-life coach and author of two books: Destined for Greatness—The Story of Chuck Long & Resurgence of Iowa Hawkeyes’ Football and YOU Are Destined for Greatness –Stories of Inspiration and Empowerment. Aaron serves as a board member of the Waukee Rotary and Public Relations Society of America Iowa Chapter, is a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus and volunteers for the Walnut Creek Baseball League of Clive, Iowa.

Aaron enjoys traveling internationally, gardening, grilling and spending time with family. He and his wife Crystal and children Garrett, Grant and Jaelyn (JAY-lin) live in Waukee.

Little Known Facts about Aaron: He testified before the Iowa House as a West Bend High School junior about the importance of maintaining state funding for small schools; was executive editor of the Northern Iowan newspaper and UNI Student Government Vice President; and has visited 36 states and traveled to four countries: China, Thailand, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
