Funded by the soybean checkoff.

Production Research

The Iowa Soybean Association invests soybean checkoff funds in research on plant breeding to enhance yield and quality through better resistance to disease, nematodes and insects. It also funds studies on agronomic practices and production inputs that can improve grower profits and sustainability.

ISA funds more than 30 research projects at Iowa State University and through the North Central Soybean Research Program. Because delivering research results to Iowa’s soybean growers is a high priority, ISA also uses soybean checkoff funds to develop educational programs and print material to help farmers in making soybean production and management decisions.
