Profitability of Conservation Systems — ISA Conservations
In 2019, ISA implemented a study of 20 Iowa farmer conservation leaders to evaluate the impact of their use of conservation on their farm profitability.  Results of this analysis focusing on cover crops, reduced tillage, and nutrient management will be reviewed.  We will also discuss new opportunities for farmers and their advisors to better evaluate and capture profitability with agronomy and conservation that may work for you on your farm. This session will include a farmer panel.

Analytics — ISA Analysts
We will show how to make better informed economic decisions using dynamic and interactive online summaries generated from 15 years of historical on-farm replicated strip trial data collected across Iowa. Plus, you will also be able to provide feedback on a new interactive approach: farmers filter contextual parameters of the historical on-farm research data and choose practice alternatives to compare for a custom estimate of potential economic gains or losses.

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch & ISA Policy Update
The latest policy and regulatory issues impacting farmer profitability and competitiveness. Learn how you can engage in policy discussions on issues impacting your farm.

Agronomy — ISA Agronomists
We will describe a new system to increase soybean yields as well as results from our 2019 on-farm research. These results include new fertilizers, seeding rates and strategies to control key pests. Question & Answer segment with ISA Agronomists.
