ISA AND REG REV UP FOR BIG RACE

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Iowa Soybean Association and Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) are revving up for their big race, the Soy Biodiesel 225, on Saturday, Sept. 22, with several race promotions.

Driver Brandon Ward will be at the Pilot Travel Center, 11957 Douglas Avenue, Des Moines, Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. where he will sign autographs. This year, Ward received the USAR Pro Cup Series Rookie of the Year award, finishing third in the northern division final point standings. Ward has his sights set on the USAR championship and perhaps a chance at NASCAR racing.

Receive $5 off every $50 spent on soy biodiesel, free race merchandise and biodiesel information. The first 10 people at each location will receive a special gift package sponsored by ISA, REG and the Iowa Lung Association-Clean Air Choice Team. Promotions will also take place September 18 at Kruegger’s BP, 11304 NW 54th Ave, Grimes, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and September 20 at Sully Cooperative Exchange, 1669 Highway 14 north, Newton, from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
