KUM & GO PROVIDES B2 AT PUMP

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Kum & Go Truck Stop located just off I-80 near Grinnell, Iowa, is now carrying B2 in all its diesel pumps. B2 is a diesel blend containing 2 percent soy biodiesel, a renewable fuel made from soybeans. Carrying B2 at this particular location means convenient biodiesel access not only to Iowans, but also to many people from other states passing through Iowa on Interstate 80.

To celebrate Kum & Go’s commitment to renewable fuels, biodiesel in particular, the Iowa Soybean Association has partnered with Kum & Go to carry out a biodiesel promotion. The event will include a racecar and professional driver from the new Iowa Speedway who will be racing in the Soy Biodiesel 250 on September 15.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
