JOIN THE IOWA SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION FOR A PRODUCER INFORMATION EVENT

 

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) invites you to attend a producer information event on Thursday, July 19, 2007.

The informational meeting will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Red Top Farm - Andrew Farms, Inc., 1749 250th Street in Jefferson. The schedule is as follows:

  10:30 a.m   Welcome by Jim Andrew, Iowa Soybean Association director and winner of the 2007 National Conservation Legacy Award
11 a.m. Soy Sessions (30 minutes each):
• On-Farm Network™ nitrogen management strip trial research update
• Precision Farming presentation
  Noon   Lunch provided by Lincoln Way Grill with a presentation by Elwynn Taylor, Iowa State University Extension climatologist
1 p.m. Soy Sessions (30 minutes each):
• Water Quality Perspectives by the ISA watershed team
• Iowa Farm Bureau Carbon Credit Aggregation Program presentation by Chad Martin

This is a Travel to Treasure Event, so bring your “Travel to Treasure: Iowa’s Soy Tours” passport. If you do not have a passport, you can pick one up at the event.
    The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
