SOY ON PARADE TO BE AT EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

URBANDALE, Iowa - Join the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) in celebrating Earth Day. ISA will participate in Earth Day in the Junction on Sunday, April 22, in Valley Junction, West Des Moines, Iowa. ISA’s Soy on Parade will be on display lining 5th Street in Valley Junction. Soy on Parade is a collection of 18 large, three-dimensional fiberglass sculptures shaped as soybeans, which were adorned by local Iowa artists.

ISA will have representatives from The Soyfoods Council on hand to give out soyfood samples and discuss the health benefit of including soy in your diet.

ISA’s Travel to Treasure: Iowa’s Soy Tours will also be present so don’t forget to bring along your “Travel to Treasure: Iowa’s Soy Tours” passport. An ISA field staff member will be available to stamp your passport so you can qualify for great prizes. If you do not yet have your passport, you can pick one up at the ISA booth at Earth Day in the Junction.

This is the first stop on the Soy on Parade summer tour of Iowa. In September, the sculptures will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to ISA’s Ag Scholarship Program.
