The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Ag-Based Industrial Lubricants
(ABIL) Research Program was initiated in 1991 to research development
of hydraulic and other industrial lubricants from soybean and other
vegetable oils. The research conducted at ABIL holds promise for
improving and expanding the market for our nation's soybean farmers.
The program receives support from state, federal, and private industrial
partners. ABIL Research is located in a new facility and is well-equipped
for testing performance and chemistry of lubricants and hydraulic
oils.
