Conference preview: Biologicals and Your Farm

February 2, 2023 | Kriss Nelson

Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) agronomists will help farmers grasp the fast-paced market of biologicals during one of the several breakout sessions available at the upcoming  Innovation to Profit Conference.

“We think there is some value in these products in helping increase yields and improve soils,” says Drew Clemmensen, ISA field services program manager. “We are figuring out how they fit and where they work.”

Trial results of biological products tested last growing season will be discussed, as well as a look ahead into strip trials for 2023.

A farmer panel with experienced producers utilizing biologicals will allow attendees to gain an unbiased view of the impact of using biologicals and allow for farmer discussion and questions.

“The biological world is growing very fast, and there are a lot of products available,” says Clemmensen. “We are hopeful the panel will elude more into what environment or circumstances has led to what products have worked and what hasn’t.”
