Advice to consider steps toward soybean and corn protection will be covered in a breakout session during the next week’s Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) Innovation to Profit Conference.

“In this session, we will provide updates from research on weed management practices with a focus on soybeans,” says Scott Nelson, ISA senior field services program manager. “We will also survey industry trends in the crop protection industry that will affect farmers within the next few years.”

Additional topics will include corn rootworm management and other pest affecting Iowa crop production.

“We will discuss management of soybean gall midge as it continues to affect farms in Iowa, adding eight counties just last year,” says Nelson.
