Soy Biodiesel Jetta TDI Race The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) will sponsor a Soy Biodiesel Jetta TDI race at the Iowa Speedway on Sept. 20. Cars in the race will be using B5 fuel, made with soy biofuel, in their diesel engines. The purpose of the event will be to increase awareness of soy biodiesel and educate potential users about the benefits of this fast growing alternative fuel. The SCCA Jetta TDI Cup Race will be at 5:30 p.m. It will be followed at 7 p.m. by the Race 2 Recovery 225 USAR Hooter’s Pro Cup Race presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Diamond Vogel. In addition, Phil Vassar and Jason Brown are scheduled to perform in pre- and post-race concerts. Five dollars of every ticket sold for the day’s events will be donated to support the Iowa flood recovery program, with a check presented that night to the foundation responsible for organizing that effort. ISA is pleased to offer the Jetta race in conjunction with this worthy cause.
