USDA to collect final 2009 crop production numbers

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) Field Offices will soon be surveying a sample of producers to determine state and county level production of crops and livestock. All producers who are contacted are encouraged to participate, thus helping ensure the results are as accurate as possible.

The Iowa Turkey Federation staff has prepared a new turkey reading and activity book for youth. The two 8½-by-11-inch pages can be printed; youth can then cut the smaller pages apart, put them in numerical order, color, staple and read them over and over! Each ISA district will hold a district policy conference to touch base with members about their legislative action priorities. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and prioritize issues and elect delegates to take their views to the ISA state policy conference in Ankeny on Dec. 10. PLEASE NOTE: The date has changed for District 5.
