ASA Works for Royalty-Free Generic Roundup Ready Traits
With the patent on “Roundup Ready® One” Trait due to expire in 2010, and patents on other traits expiring in future years, the American Soybean Association is working to facilitate the continued availability to soybean farmers.

Conservation Fund Draws Strong Support
With 90 percent of the state precincts reporting, nearly two-thirds of the Iowa voters had approved an amendment to the constitution to create the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund.

ASA announces $5,000 Secure Optimal Yield Scholarship
The 2011-2012 Secure Optimal Yield Scholarship is a $5,000 one-time scholarship award to be presented to a high school senior pursuing agriculture as an area of study. Candidates may apply on-line through Nov. 15. The scholarship is managed by the American Soybean Association and made possible through a grant by BASF Corporation.
