EPA Requires 800 Million Gallons of Biodiesel in 2011
On July 12, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it would require the domestic use of 800 million gallons of biodiesel in 2011. “We applaud EPA for this announcement,” said NBB Vice President Manning Feraci.

Extra Financial Assistance Available in Key Watersheds in Hamilton and
Wright Counties
Producers in eight sub-watersheds in Hamilton and Wright counties have until July 23 to apply for more than $375,000 in USDA financial assistance for implementing eligible water quality conservation practices. The Mississippi River Basin Initiative (MRBI) offers higher conservation practice payment rates.
