Considerations for soybean insecticides and fungicides
Several Iowa agribusinesses are offering soybean growers pest management plans that include applications of fungicide and insecticide. Although combining an insecticide and fungicide may be convenient, the results from ISU’s 2008 Pesticide Stewardship trials suggest this is a convenience that may not pay off. Consumers believe soy is a healthy food
Eighty-four percent of consumers rate soy products as healthy, according to a recent study. That’s good news, as 87 percent of consumers express concern about the nutritional content of the food they eat. The number of consumers rating soy products as healthy has seen a dramatic 25 percentage point increase over the last 12 years. To learn more, click here.

Arends represents Iowa soybean farmers at poultry conference

ISA invites NW Iowa farmers to join webinar about aphids
Northwest Iowa farmers are invited to participate in a webinar presentation on Tuesday, July 28, addressing the current situation regarding soybean aphids in Iowa. Soybean checkoff powers tractor-pulling season with biodiesel
This summer USB and soybean checkoff will again let the power of tractor pulling tell the story of soy biodiesel. The checkoff will help co-sponsor the 82-event National Tractor Pullers Association season to demonstrate the benefits of soy biodiesel to thousands of diesel users.
