ISA Responds to USDA Crop Report
On June 30 the USDA released its Annual Acreage report. Nationally, planted soybean acres are estimated at a record 78.9 million acres. For Iowa, planted soybean acres are estimated at 10.2 million acres.

Fate of Biodiesel Tax Credit

On June 24 the Senate again failed to move forward the tax extenders bill containing the extension of the biodiesel tax credit. In the wake of the vote, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) suspended consideration of the bill.
