Membership Continues to Grow – Recruiters Beginning to Get Busy
January and early February membership recruitment has increased ISA’s membership rolls, with calling nights, county board meetings and the Power Farming Show giving us lots of opportunities to meet with current and prospective members. All ISA members were sent tickets to the Iowa Power Farming Show, Jan. 29-31, where ISA had a booth and hospitality suite. Attendance was very good.

To date we have recruited 2,073 members and renewals for 2008. That total, when added to the current three-year members, gives us 4,192 active members as of  Feb. 8 . This number includes 433 February through September renewals. There are currently 855 expired November – January renewals available for any recruiter to go get.

Remember, recruiting incentives through April 15 include $10 cash paid per 1-10 members renewed/recruited (payable after three recruits), $20 per the 11th -20th  members recruited and $25 per member recruited more than 20.  Our ASA goal is 5,484, so we have nearly 1,500 members yet to recruit and renew. To date, 112 members have been recruited by 50 recruiters, which is above last year’s recruiting totals through January. Keep up the good work.  As always, please contact Nancy Cunningham at the ISA office if you would like a county report or contact your producer services representative for help in your recruiting efforts.

Our new member campaign netted 17 new ISA members, and Jerome Burken won the trip to Commodity Classic for his recruiting efforts. The satellite radio offer will continue through April 15 for all new members recruited. Recruiters can get their name in a district drawing for every new member they recruit (and they will also earn recruiter dollars for that member.)

Membership dollars allow us to take soybean producers’ views to the state capitol in Des Moines and to Washington, D.C. Keep that voice strong by joining. “If you believe, belong.”
