Pre-Harvest All in a Day’s Work Event at Dean Coleman Farm

Interested farmers from Crop District 2 are invited to a pre-harvest planning event at the Dean Coleman farm, near Humboldt on September 8.

The event, which is part of the All in a Day’s Work program sponsored by the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), will feature: ISU’s Greg Tylka talking about soybean cyst nematode, ISA’s Heath Ellison on energy planning, ISU’s Palle Pedersen explaining the findings of no-till research and ISA state lobbyist Jill Altringer talking about policy matters.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. with a pork loin lunch served.

To get to the Coleman farm from Highway 3 in Humboldt, take Highway 169 south to the four-way stop at the high school and turn west on 4th Street SW, which is also C44. Go 4 and a half miles west on the C44 blacktop. The farm is on the south side of the road.
