ISA responds to USDA crop report
The USDA crop report for August forecasts total U.S. soybean production at 3.06 billion bushels, compared to 3.33 billion last year. For Iowa, production is estimated at 473 million bushels, compared to 496 million in 2010. ISA leaders responded to the report.

In July, ISA Director Mark Jackson of Rose Hill participated in an aquaculture stakeholder’s team visit to the Philippines, Indonesia and China. “The ability to see firsthand the demonstrations and meet the technical staff has been very helpful for me to better understand what it is we do and why," Jackson said.

China's soybean planting declines in favor of corn
China’s farmers significantly reduced the planting of soybeans this year to sow more corn and rice, the China Business Journal has reported.
