Hopefully, farmers trying seed treatments this growing season have selected treatments based on their knowledge of the history of seedling diseases on their farms. This could be a good opportunity to evaluate seed treatment performance under particular fields' conditions.

Ag groups, STC study, succeed in raising semi weight limits
On April 15, Iowa Governor Chet Culver signed legislation that expands the types of commodities trucks can carry using six- and seven-axle configurations at higher weight limits.

Grassley cosponsors an ethanol bill
Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is co-sponsoring an ethanol bill designed to build our country’s energy security and create jobs. Grassley says the bill "would extend four policies for ethanol production through 2015 including the ethanol excise tax credit.”
