Production Research

Increasing soybean yield is the top priority of the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) board, and higher yield means more profit for farmers. More than $2.1 million is allocated each year to solve problems important to Iowa soybean producers.

The Iowa Soybean Association addresses issues facing producers today – such as limiting yield loss from insects and diseases – while keeping an eye on the horizon to look for emerging issues. The key to solving problems quickly is to fund cutting-edge research at top universities like Iowa State University.

From honing management practices to finding new sources of SCN resistance, to breeding soybeans for healthy hearts and world markets, Iowa’s soybean producers are investing in areas that ensure they will remain profitable and competitive in a global marketplace.
