LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP

Awarded to an Iowa soybean farmer who has demonstrated a passionate and relentless commitment to growing the industry in Iowa. In addition to receiving a commemorative plaque, the winner is recognized on a permanent plaque at the Iowa Soybean Association.

RISING STAR

Presented to an ISA member’s son or daughter who is actively involved in promoting agriculture through their involvement in local, state and national activities and organizations and who is preparing to continue ag studies in college. Nominees are 14-18 years of age (high school students or students who have just graduated from high school).

ENVIRONMENTAL LEADER AWARD

Awarded to an ISA member and soybean farmer who has demonstrated a commitment to installing and maintaining practices that improve environmental sustainability. The farmer who receives this honor will be nominated for the American Soybean Association Conservation Legacy Award.

NEW LEADER

Awarded to a district soybean leader who has been involved in his/her District Advisory Council for two years or less, has shown outstanding involvement and possesses the skills and talents to do great things for the soybean industry and agriculture. In addition to receiving a commemorative plaque, the winner is recognized on a permanent plaque at the Iowa Soybean Association.

FRIEND OF THE IOWA SOYBEAN FARMER

Awarded to an elected leader, media representative or other ISA partner, who has supported Iowa soybean farmers through their actions and efforts.

ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARDS

Current members of the ISA board of directors are not eligible for the Legacy of Leadership award. Award recipients are eligible to receive an award only once.

PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

Awards will be presented during the third annual Iowa Soybean Association Awards Banquet at the association’s 50th anniversary celebration at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines Wed., Dec. 17. Upon selection of the award recipient, the nominator and the award recipient will be contacted to ensure they are present at the awards presentation.

SELECTION PROCESS

Award recipients are selected by a taskforce of the ISA board of directors. The nomination process is confidential, nominees are not notified and nominees’ names are not released.

SUBMISSION OF NOMINATIONS

All nominations must be in writing, preferably on the attached nomination form, and received no later than Monday, November 3 at 5 p.m. Nominations received after November 3, will not be considered. No nominations will be accepted via telephone.
